Today is "Family Church Sunday!": There is no Sunday School today. Families are encouraged to worship together and share in liturgical roles. A
"quiet" room is available next door in the fellowship hall should smaller children have the need.
Sunday School Meeting: Thursday, August 31, at 9:30 am. In the Fellowship Hall.
School Kits & God's Work Our Hands: Our congregation is joining Lutheran World Relief's "Project Promise" to provide as many school kits as possible for students in need around the
world. The backpacks themselves are made by members of our congregation. They are filled with specific school supplies and will be assembled on Sunday, September 3, after service and after a light brunch
in the Fellowship Hall. We are asking for your help to purchase the school supplies and to assemble the school kits. A $12 dollar donation may be put in the offering plate during service. Envelopes
for the donation are found on the bulletin board at the back of the sanctuary. A $250 Thrivent Grant will be used for postage. Kits will be offered and blessed in worship on Sunday, September 10th as part of
God's Work Our Hands Sunday. Thank you for giving children a better chance to be educated, to feel special, and to know we care.
