Woodstock Council of Churches

All the congregations of  the Christian churches in Woodstock cooperate in a  variety of ecumenical activities through participation in the Woodstock Council of Churches.    Members of the Woodstock Council of Churches include:

Christ’s Lutheran Church
Overlook Methodist Church
Reformed Church of Woodstock
Saint Gregory’s Episcopal Church
Shady Methodist Church
St. John’s Roman Catholic Church

At least twice each year the congregations meet together for worship and fellowship.  Sometimes these worship opportunities feature a combined choir from all six member churches.  The pastors of the Woodstock Churches rotate responsibility for preaching at these services.  The offering received at each ecumenical service is designated to support one or more of the activities sponsored by the Woodstock Council of Churches such as the

• Meals on Wheels
